This Merdeka & Malaysia Day, weโre celebrating creativity with a fun twist on tradition. Introducing the Colours of Malaysia: Batik in a Bottle Contest!
Got an eye for art and a heart for heritage? We want to see how you interpret batik inside a bottle of any shape or size. Think bold patterns, vibrant colours, or even tiny batik-inspired scenes sealed in a bottle!
๐ก You can use any art form or medium โ just make sure it fits into an 800ml bottle or can be attached to it. It can be hand-painted, textured, layered with fabric, or filled with mini elements. The more creative, the better!
Submit your art at our L1, Concierge Counter (in front of Brands Outlet) from now till 27 August, and donโt forget to include a brief description of your artwork!
๐ผ๏ธ Shortlisted entries will be proudly showcased at L1, Nanjing Entrance (in front of Tous les Jours) from 29 August to 17 September, where the public will vote for their favourites!
๐ And yes โ weโve got prizes worth up to RM1,000 waiting for the top entries!

. This contest is open to everyone.
. This contest period is from 12th to 27th August 2025.
. The art-in-a-bottle must fit or use a maximum of an 800ml bottle.
. The art-in-a-bottle can come in different shapes.
. Limited to one (1) prize per person.
. Sunway Velocity Mall reserves the right to reject any entry that contains any form of discrimination (racial, religious or political motives) and/or which is sex-related.
. The judgesโ decision on selected winner is final. No disputes & appeals will be entertained.
. Sunway Velocity Mall Management will not be liable to replace vouchers or products that are damaged, discontinued, cancelled, lost, or used improperly whether due to fraud, technical issues, or negligence.
. Participants are judged based on:
- Creativity & Originality 25%
- Interpretation of Theme 25%
- Craftmanship 25%
- Use of Materials (Recycled etc.) 25%
. Prizes are strictly not for re-sale, non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash or other items.
. Sunway Velocity Mall is not responsible for any costs associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize (including, without limitation, travel to and from the destination, additional costs of the prize, tax etc.)
. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered by Sunway Velocity Mall.
. Prizes are subject to changes by the management without prior notice.
. Sunway Velocity Mall reserves the right to deal with any unclaimed prizes in any manner deemed fit at its sole and absolute discretion.
. Visuals used in the advertising & promotion of this contest are for illustration purposes only and may not reflect the appearance and quantity of the exact product/prize.
