Organiser
. The Ketupat Weaving Challenge (“Contest”) is organised by Sunway Velocity Mall Management (“Organiser”).
Contest Details
. Date: 14 March 2026 (Saturday)
. Time: 5:00 PM
. Venue: Main Atrium, GF.
Eligibility
. Open to the public.
. Participation is in parent-and-child teams (1 parent + 1 child).
. Limited to 20 teams only, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration
. Participation is strictly by prior reservation via the Sunway Super App.
. Participants must complete the official registration process in the app before the event.
. Successful reservation confirmation must be presented during on-site registration.
. Sunway Velocity Mall reserves the right to open up the slot to the walk-in participants if the pre-registered participant is 15 minutes late for the session.
Contest Mechanics
. Each team must weave one (1) ketupat using only the materials provided by the Organiser.
. No pre-prepared materials or external tools are allowed.
. The Contest will be timed.
. The team that completes the ketupat correctly in the shortest time will be declared the winner.
. In the event of a tie, judges will determine the winner based on neatness and accuracy.
Prizes
. Limited to one (1) prize per winning team.
. Prizes will be awarded to the top ten (10) fastest teams only.
. Prizes are strictly non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.
. No cash alternatives will be offered.
. Prizes are not for resale.
. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute or change prizes without prior notice.
. The Organiser reserves the right to manage any unclaimed prizes at its sole discretion.
. The Organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, or misuse of prizes after collection.
. Any costs not specifically stated as part of the prize shall be borne by the winner.
Judging & Disqualification
. Judges’ decisions are final and binding. No disputes or appeals will be entertained.
. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant who fails to comply with the Contest mechanics or these Terms & Conditions.
. The Organiser reserves the right to reject any participation deemed inappropriate, offensive, discriminatory (racial, religious, political), or sexual in nature.
Publicity & Liability
. Visuals used in promotional materials are for illustration purposes only.
. By participating, participants agree to be photographed and recorded for promotional use without further compensation.
. Participants agree not to initiate or support any claims against the Organiser in connection with the Contest.
. The Organiser shall not be responsible for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during participation.
General
. By participating, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and the decisions of the Organiser.
. Sunway Velocity Mall Management reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions or cancel the Contest at any time without prior notice.
OWNERSHIP / USER RIGHTS
. By participating in the contest, the participants grant Sunway Velocity Mall’s the right to use any photos and/or material received during the period (including the Participant’s name, email address, contact number, photos, videos, etc.) for advertising, marketing and communication purposes without compensation to the Participant, his or her successors or assigns, or any other entity affiliated with the Participant.
. Sunway Velocity Mall reserves the right to reject any entries that are inappropriate, incomplete, suspicious, or invalid.
. Sunway Velocity Mall reserves the right to end the contest period earlier or extend at its own discretion.
