Prawn Noodle King

Hokkien Mee to Penangites is Prawn Mee to others from everywhere else in Malaysia. Back in the day, immigrants from the China Province of Fu Jian introduced this amazing noodle served in hot prawn broth to Malaysia, mainly Penang.

The most famous hawker stall that revolutionized Hokkien Mee in Penang was none other than Seang Lim Hokkien Mee, hailed as Prawn Mee King back in the 80s. People from around the world who travelled to Penang never left the island without first tasting Seang Lim’s famous Hokkien Mee. Seang Lim has been making headlines since 1981 and in February 2017, retired.

In September 2017, we decided to open up a specialty restaurant in the heart of Taman OUG, Kuala Lumpur to honour the rich history and amazing Seang Lim Hokkien Mee using the same authentic recipe. Welcome to Prawn Noodle King.
